How to use a generator

  • Open any generator from the homepage
  • Enter text or set the tool's controls, such as a percentage or repeat count
  • Choose an available Target Platform
  • Click Copy to copy the result to your clipboard
  • Paste into your target app and check the formatting

Platform selector

The selector shows the targets configured for the current generator. Most tools keep the same output when you switch targets; the selection controls the platform description and character counter. Strikethrough also switches between Unicode combining marks, tilde markup, and HTML tags.

Fancy Text, Aesthetic, Bubble Text, Small Caps, and Upside Down omit Slack, Teams, and Markdown from their selectors. This is Gluee's configured selection, not a test of the app or device you paste into.

Character counters

Where a generator shows a counter, Gluee compares the output with these configured reference values:

  • X: 280 characters
  • Threads: 500 characters
  • Instagram: 2,200 characters
  • LinkedIn: 3,000 characters
  • Discord: 2,000 characters
  • TikTok: 4,000 characters
  • Telegram: 4,096 characters
  • Reddit: 40,000 characters

These counters count Unicode code points. A destination may count text differently or apply another limit for a particular field or account. Check the destination before posting.

Copying styled text and markup

  • Unicode styles use replacement characters and combining marks. Their appearance varies by font, app, and device.
  • Big Text and Box Text depend on preserved spaces and line breaks. Use a monospace field or code block if the alignment shifts.
  • Slack uses *bold*, _italic_, and ~strike~ in mrkdwn. The composer and formatting settings affect how pasted markup is handled.
  • Telegram's MarkdownV2 syntax is for the Bot API with that parse mode enabled. Pasting it into an ordinary chat does not select a Bot API parse mode.
  • The Markdown strikethrough output uses ~~text~~, which requires a renderer with a strikethrough extension.
  • For HTML output, use an editor that accepts HTML source. A plain text field can display the tags literally.

Conversion limits

Binary and Morse encode text; their output fields are read-only. Binary is best used with ASCII text and does not produce UTF-8 bytes. Morse converts A–Z, digits, and supported punctuation, and omits unsupported characters. Text Repeat accepts 1–500 repetitions. Big Text supports A–Z, digits, spaces, and ! ? . -; unsupported characters become blank space.
